    GINGER LEMON DETOX DRINK with mint leaves, anise and fennel seeds

    This ginger  lemon detox drink is a boost for your healthy against the cold season. I love to prepare this easy tisane Sunday evening and enjoy it hot, or cold, or at room temperature all week long. An excellent way to take care of your body and your soul!

    • ½ Lb (230 g) organic ginger roots
    • 1 organic lemon (peels only)
    • 8 mint leaves
    • ⅓ cup honey
    • 2 anise stars
    • 1 tbsp fennel seeds

    GINGER LEMON DETOX DRINK with mint leaves, anise and fennel seeds

    FIRST STEPS

    Rinse the ginger roots, then reduce them into thin slices. After that, Peel the lemon and save the peels cutting away any trace of white. Finally, rinse the mint leaves.

    GINGER  LEMON DETOX DRINK

    Pour all the ingredients into a thick-bottomed heavy pot. Fill up the pot with 7 qt of very cold water and place over medium heat. Cover the pot with a lid and wait for the water is starting to boil. Finally, let the ginger  lemondetox drink simmer about 30 mins. Once the ginger lemon detox drink is ready, let it reach room temperature. Finally, sift it and store in the fridge.

      Great recipe, ginger work as a medicine for many seasonal viral diseases like cold and cough. Regular use of ginger in tea keeps your throat smooth. It also makes your immune strong

      I often drink ginger and lemon with honey, but then found this recipe which takes it to another level! Amazing.
      Great work on all the other recipes too, we visit Italy every year and love cucina italiana, I’m going to work my way through all the recipes on your site 🙂
